Welcome to the Nurture page of our school website.
What is a Nurture Group?
Sometimes children need a little extra support to help them with making friends, to gain confidence or with their social and emotional needs, so they find learning easier. We have a number of groups taking place throughout the school day that your children may be involved in.
We are both qualified in the Theory and Practice of Nurture Groups and together aim to give your children the help and support they need to achieve their full potential, in a calm and homely environment.
Have a look at our photo's to see what we get up to! We hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we enjoyed taking them.
Mrs White & Mrs McGuckin
It is the start of a new school year and Nurture is back with a new exciting project. We are turning the outside Nurture space into a quiet area for children within the school to use as and when needed.
We have quite a challenge on our hands but so far we have had very generous donations of plants and paint from Bunnings and B&Q. The Creative Enablers Team have been volunteering to clear the ground and we are in discussion with East Kent College students who will be designing and painting a mural and of course not forgetting the Nurture children, who have been working hard out there.
We will post pictures on here to keep you up to date with the progress but in the meantime, if you have any old pots of paint that you would like to drop off or time that you could give to help, it would be greatly appreciated and you would be made very welcome. Just let the school office know (27th September 2017).
