Thank you to all the parents that braved the awful weather to come to our Family Fun afternoon on Tuesday.
This week has been Kindness Week in Nurture. The children have been really busy carrying out acts of kindness in and around school and earning leaves to go on the kindness tree. Here are some photos of the great things they have been doing (8/03/19)
As part of Kindness Week we have also been reading a book called "The Rainbow Fish". The children have made their own Rainbow Fish for our display and as part of sensory play this week, they have made edible sand. Which they enjoyed eating! (08/03/19)
We've started sensory play in Nurture this term and as the weather has been kind to us this week, we've been able to have our water play outside. As you can see the children have enjoyed a range of activities including puddle jumping!
We have been busy baking in Nurture. Sorry about the fire alarm that went off though!
We are so proud of 3 of our children who have graduated from Nurture. They have worked so hard. Well done.
Our shopping trip to Trinity Superstore. Thank you to the lovely Shop Assistants.
Shopping in our Nurture shop.
This Term (Term 3), our topic is a book called Knuffle Bunny. It is a story about a little girl who can't speak yet. She gets really cross with her Daddy when he doesn't understand that her favourite toy has been lost! The Nurture Group have been looking at all the things they can do now that they couldn't do when they were babies. This story helps the children with their self-esteem and confidence.
The children have acted out the story using stick puppets (confidence building, working with and talking to a partner)
Using shaving foam, they have made their own bunny shape (sensory).
The children have also drawn their own bunny, by following step by step instructions. The pictures are brilliant! (listening to and following instructions).
Our role play corner is a launderette, which is the setting for the story. As you can see, the children have been very busy this week! (connecting experiences).
Thank you to everyone who sent in baby photos of the children. Our "Guess Who" board is growing but we've still room for more. (recognising how they grow and how much they learn).
The morning group had a special visitor today. Mother Christmas came to look for Buddy the Elf and to give our Nurture Elves their certificates for having good manners and making good friends.. Well done everybody (12/12/18)
The Nurture Elves have been very busy wrapping presents for Santa.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Nurture!! Thank you to all the Mums, Dads and Nannies that came to make Christmas decorations with us this week. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
