Transition day 1

 

On transition day we found out things we didn't know about each other , we wrote about our aspirations and things we loveheart.

Term 1

 

Topic :

On the first day of year 6 we started our day with Topic on the Ancient Greeks . Mrs Barnes gave us some artefacts  to guess what they were. 

Can you identify these artefacts?

English:

Our English book for Term 1 was The adventures of Odysseus . Setting sail for Ithaca after the long and brutal Trojan war , Odysseus imagines the grand welcome he will recieve when he at last arrives home . But Posiedon , God of the ocean , has a reason to be angry with  the greek hero.

English : 

In term 2 we read Floodland by Marcus Sedgwick . Zoe , left behind in confusion , survives there as best as she can. Alone and desperate among marauding gangs , she manages to dig a delerict boat out of the mud and escapes to Eels island. But Eels island, whose raggle taggle inhabitants are dominated by the strange boy Dooby is full of danger too. 

 

 

 

 

Panto Trip :

KS2 went to watch Jack and the Beanstalk at the Theater  Royal . 

French:

In french we filmed ourselves having a conversation  to show how much we have learned in term 2.

                                                  Maths: 

in maths we have been learning how to caculate coordinates and how we learnt was by doing christmass coordinates.

We have been learning a lot about Biomes in term three . The first 2 days of term 3 were spent learning about Biomes, climate and ecosystems .
