When Gregory wakes up on his first day in Tobago with his grandparents, his heart sinks. The food is strange, the sun too hot, his cousin Lennox is on another wave length and there are none of the televisions, video games and other high-tech gadgets that a cool city-boy takes for granted.
At home we have been practicing our timestables to earn a prize in class.
Who will earn the most prizes???
We will be visiting Tesco on a Farm to Folk trip to learn more about food and nutrition. Stay tuned for the pictures.
The blue team won, but we all had fun! Thank you for coming over from the Japanese University :)
Tesco Farm to Folk trip 06/10/17
We had a fabulous time identifying fresh produce and how certain foods are grown.
Then we looked at fish from the counters, identifying muscles, salmon, tuna, prawns, scallops and mackerel.
Next, we sampled some cheeses from the counter: Manchego, cheddar and garlic and herb.
Finally, we got to have a 'Sneaky Peek' in the HUGE fridge and freezer, listing foods found in the chillers.
The temperate was - 19.2 degrees celsuis in the freezer!
