We took it in turns to fry our tortillas. The Maya cooked on an open fire and turned them with their hands, however we played safe and used an electric hotplate and a spatula.

World Book Day

Kestrels made a brilliant effort to dress as their favourite characters for world book day.

Superhero Scientists

 Year 5, Kestrels and Ospreys, joined Year 2, Badgers and Foxes, for an exciting day of Superhero investigations for Science Week.  Working together was great fun, as they investigated super slime, experimented with exciting explosions, found out about fabulous frictions and explored energy of electricity in everyday objects.  They made a great team and enjoyed the day together as the photographs below will show.  Well done everyone!

Archaeologists For a Day!

Kestrel Class began the new term as Spanish Conquistadors!  Sailing around "The Class" they re-entered the school via the distant shores of Mexico, and the Yucatan Peninsula to discover an ancient ruin and the treasures that it held that would reveal some of the amazing facts about the Ancient Mayan Civilisation that will be come their study for the term.

Welcome to Kestrels class page and term 2.  Apologies for the delay in releasing evidence of the exciting learning journey that we are enjoying together.
