We have had an amazing time in Science week!
We have been through an Star Wars adventure deep in the Mayan Rain Forest....
Hopefully you were able to come and see our wonderful work on display in our hall on Thursday (4th February) if not watch this space for photographs and work to show you what we were up to.
To whet your appetite please be entertained and educated by our moon phases songs, which we have composed and performed ourselves.
So sorry... the files are too big to upload. I promise I will get the tech men to have a look at it Monday.
Hello, this week has been anti-bullying week and we have been exploring why people would want to bully.
We learnt that bullying when people are being nasty to another person or group over a period of time, it is carried on purpose - to hurt some one else. We also found out about the different types of bullying, such as:
Physical bullying - when you hurt people on the outside by using force like kicking, punching and being spiteful.
Emotional bullying - which is when you hurt people on the inside, hurting their feelings by saying cruel things, calling them names and spreading lies about them.
Cyber bullying - This bullying happens on line and can be used during on line games with chatrooms, facebook, emails, instagram, twitter and snapchat to name a few. People do this by writing cruel messages, threatening people and using horrible or embarrassing photos.
We have used role play to think about how bullying makes people feel and what they should do if they are being bullied.
Unfortunately, our fantastic video are too big to upload t the website. Watch this space to see some photo stills which we will take from our videos!
As part of our George's Marvellous Medicine work, we have made our own Marvellous Medicine Bottles. We were lucky enough to have Teresa from "Pick and Paint a Pot" come into school to show us how to create them. It was great fun and we are really proud of our pots.
This is what we did:
We are really pleased and proud of our finished Marvellous Medicine bottles!
Do you like them?
