Nurture group

Welcome to our Nurture page.

Our Nurture Group offers a wide range of activities to support the social and emotional skills of our children.  We hope you enjoy looking through the photos of some of the activities our children have enjoyed so far this year.

Term 4:

Our topic this term is the world around us, we have explored the different methods of recycling and the reuse of rubbish, ocean pollution, junk modelling and compost making. For world book day, we read "Somebody Swallowed Stanley" and made kites out of plastic bags just like the boy in the book.

Term 3

Our topic for this term is Friendship. This term we have enjoyed visiting Yoakley House Residential Home on Monday afternoons where we have played board games, bingo, party games and art activities with the residents. The children in both the morning and the afternoon groups have enjoyed lots of team building topic work in their nurture sessions. Junk modelling, stacker cup challenges and interactive plasticine models are just some of the exciting activities nurture children have enjoyed to help expand their team-working skills, communication and social skills.
