PTFA - Parents, Teachers and Friends Association

The PTFA is a group of friendly and enthusiastic people made up of parents, carers, grandparents and friends working hard to help enhance the school experience for the pupils within our school. We work hard to raise funds to use on various equipment and activities within the school.

Our main fundraising events are the Summer Fayre and Christmas Fayre that we hold every year along with numerous smaller events throughout the year including, the Mother's and Father's Day Secret Rooms.

We also run the Cake Stall every Friday after school, with each class taking it in turns to provide the cakes.

Throughout the year, with help from the school, we also run various fundraising events. So far this year we have had Easter bonnet and egg decorating competition, name the school rabbit, and a raffle for a Mother's Day Hamper.

All of these events take a great deal of hard work and dedication to organise and hold.

The PTFA is always looking for new members to come along and join our friendly team. All parents automatically become members of the PTFA when their child starts school.

At the beginning of each school year, the committee hold an Annual General Meeting, when key officers and members are elected to represent the association throughout the year. All Parents are welcome to attend any of the meetings. Parents/carers to not have to attend every meeting or help at all events, just as and when you can.

  • Be the first to hear about important news and upcoming events in school
  • Have a voice in the activities and programs that the PTFA supports
  • Learn how teachers and children benefit from the work of the PTFA
  • Volunteer your time at school to make a difference in our school community

If you are able to offer any help or would like to come along to one of our meeting to see what it is all about please leave your name at the school office.

The PTFA have contributed towards the following:

  • contributing towards all the children being able to go to the Theatre Royal to see the Christmas Pantomime.
  • Lulu, the rabbit and her hutch and food.
  • donating towards playground equipment.
  • donation for each class at Christmas to enable teachers to buy a small gift for each child.
  • small Easter Egg for each child in school.

Well done to all the children who took part in our Easter Competition.  There were many, many entries and it was very difficult to choose winners.  Don't forget to take a look at the photos to see the lovely creations made by the children.
