General Information

PE

PE is currently on a Tuesday and for Term 1 will be swimming.  Please ensure that your child comes to school in their PE kit on this day (house coloured t-shirts) and have their swimming garments.  Pupils will return to school between 3:30pm and 3:45pm and will need to be collected from the main playground as usual.

Water Bottles

Please provide your child with a clearly named water bottle.  Please only fill with water and the class staff will refill throughout the day as necessary.

Snacks

Your child may bring a healthy snack with them for the mid-morning break.  Please ensure that these are not in their lunch boxes and are set aside to be kept in class or in their individual lockers as there will be no access to lunch boxes prior to their lunch break.

Home Learning

Home Learning will be sent home on a Tuesday and is due in the following Monday.  Please encourage your child to complete as many of the tasks as possible - these are in addition to Times Table Rockstars and Reading.

Times Table Rockstars

Your child has a unique username and password for practising their multiplication tables on TTRS - the expectation is for at least 10 minutes a night where possible.  The children are set weekly targets and battles to complete which equate into house points and rewards.

Reading

Your child has a reading record for you to complete and sign.  Each read is worth 1 house point and regular reading will be rewarded.

As your child finishes their book, please ensure that they quiz on Accelerated Reader (see link below).  Your child also has a login for myON - an online reading platform to read/listen to books and quiz on them (see link below).

All quizzes equate to prizes and accumulation of words - the more you read and quiz the more rewards you reap!  The book vending machine is waiting to eat your tokens!!
