Music

Music is taught through our project lessons. At HtSJ, we follow The National Curriculum as well as using Charanga Music Scheme to support with Music planning. The curriculum ensures that all pupils play, perform, rehearse, sing and listen. As well as classroom lessons, we develop these skills during our weekly singing assembly.

Music Clubs

Choir every Tuesday after school

Terms 1 and 2- Music lunch club for years 3 and 4.

School Band

Our School Rock Band is led by Joe  from Andrew Parry Music. Joe is an extremely experienced musician, having studied music at university and then completing a PhD in composition. Alongside his composing, he also regularly performs and teaches, making him an extremely diverse musician. His specialisms are guitar, bass guitar and ukulele but is also able to teach music theory and of course composition, something Joe feels really passionate about. Joe is an extremely warm, gentle and fun person and teacher, and is able to inspire and enthuse with his excellent musical knowledge and superb guitar skills!

We are very lucky to have had special guests in to perform to us during our worship. This has given our pupils the chance to listen and appreciate live Music.
