Term 1 - Welcome back to P.E!
It's great to see everyone back at school and well done for remembering to turn up to school in P.E kit! We now have Miss Rees as our P.E apprentice who is supporting all of our P.E lessons alongside Mr Hood. In P.E lessons, we have been outside in the lovely weather doing some athletics and specifically been focusing on running, jumping and throwing activities. Year 1 and year 2 children have been doing lots of obstacle courses and developing their agility, balance and coordination skills. Year 3 and 4 children have been demonstating some fantastic hurdle jumping skills and the year 5 and 6's have been doing timed challenges to compete against themselves and also others! We will contiune to develop these gross motor skills in term 1. Keep up the good work! Please see below for action photos!
We have had a fantastic time learning how to play tri golf! We are very grateful to the Thanet Passport and to Ursuline college for loaning us the equipment which we are able to use to take part in the Thanet primary school's multi fit challenges in term 1 and 2!

Lessons will involve lots of opportunities for competitions (individual) and against others.
This term children in KS2 (Year 3,4,5&6) will be further developing their tri golf skills after successfully taking part in the tri golf multi fit challenges in term 1. The children will be learning about putting and chipping, correct technique, team work and also values such as respect and honesty! The Tri golf P.E lessons will culminate in a competition against the other classes and schools taking part in a virtual event! Watch this space for photos!
'Get Fit with Mr Hood’
This lockdown I’m here to help you all keep fit and energised by doing a weekly fitness challenge! I will be posting a video that you can find in your home learning every week. The challenges can all be completed at home and all you need is someone at home to do the timing and count your score. Email your year group email address with your best result from that week and I will put together a league table to score house points and to see who are the fitness champions. So you can practice as many time as possible throughout the week and then email in your best score! You can even challenge other members of your family at home!
Well done to all the children in school during term 3 who have also been doing P.E lessons as well as the Get Fit with Mr Hood challenges. Year 1 and 2 have been developing their running, jumping and throwing skills and preparing for the Virtual Infants Agility competition. KS2 children have been outdoors and learning about attack and defence strategies within football and basketball. Check out the photos below! Well done to everyone for all of your hard work this term.
