If you have a child born between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021 they will be eligible to start school in September 2025, you will need to  shortly start thinking about which school to apply for.

Applications for children due to start primary school in September 2025 are co-ordinated by Kent County Council and parents will need to to access the Kent County Council website to apply for a place.  

The application process will open online on Tuesday 5th November 2024 and close at midnight on Wednesday 15th January 2025.   You can apply for up to three schools, putting them in order of preference.  You must submit one application per child.  It is in your best interests to list three schools as naming one school does not guarantee your child a place at that school or give your child priority for a place over another school, neither does naming a school more than once.

ADMISSION APPEALS FOR ENTRY INTO RECEPTION YEAR - SEPTEMBER 2025

If your child is due to start primary school in September 2025, you can appeal if you are refused a place at one of your preferred schools on National Offer Day (Tuesday 15th April 2025).

You need to submit your appeal before 14th May 2025 for it to be considered by 16th July 2025.  Any appeals received after this time will be heard within 40 days from the deadline, or where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.

For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department of Education.
