Monday is our day for P.E. Please come to school dressed in your full kit.
At this time please bring a named water bottle and your reading book and contact book to school everyday. You do not need book bags for the time being.
Homework
Please try to read with your child at least 4 times a week. Reading is the backbone of learning and extremely important to your child's development.
As well as their colour banded book, your child will be bringing home one of our beautiful new Guided Reading books twice a week. Please share these with them and return the next day.
Also each term your child will be set a choice of 3 big and creative homework tasks to choose from which relates to the project we will be doing. (please see below for a copy of the tasks)
Our Projects this year
This year we will be learning about a variety of exciting topics. Here is our overview of what projects we will be doing and the books we may be using.
Times Tables
By the end of year 2 you child needs to be fluent in the 2's 5's and 10 times tables. There are loads of online resources to support you in furthering your child's confidence in these, but bellow is a link to some recommended games.
