School Music Development Plan 2024-2025

Music is taught through our project lessons. At HTSJ, we follow The National Curriculum as well as using Charanga Music Scheme to support with Music planning. The curriculum ensures that all pupils develop skills in playing, performing, singing and listening. As well as classroom lessons, we develop these skills during our weekly singing assembly.

Music Clubs

Choir every Tuesday after school

School rock band- every Monday

School Band

Our School Rock Band is led by Andrew Parry Music. The children enjoy learning to play  a variety of instruments as well as writing and composing their own. They also listen to a range of different music and discuss what they can hear.

Instrument Lessons

At HTSJ we offer 1:1 private music lessons and small group lessons in piano, drums, ukulele, clarinet and guitar. These lessons are taught by Andrew Parry music throughout the school day.

Whole School Events/ Live Music

Trinity's Got Talent - Our annual school talent show.

We are very lucky to have had special guests in to perform to us during our worship. This has given our pupils the chance to listen and appreciate live Music.

Children perform at the church to family/friends throughout the year.

Music at home

Each pupil has a login for Charanga Music so that they can access the apps and activities at home.
