Useful Writing links

At Holy Trinity & St Johns, we want to inspire our pupils to develop a passion for writing.  We use many different strategies to ensure they get the very best from their writing by being, creative and imaginative writers.  We encourage the children to think about correct grammar and punctuation to enable them to become competent and confident writers.

Pobble 365 is a great quick activity to allow the children's imagination to run wild. The activity a day give a vast array of genres for the children to have a go at writing from an image and a story starter. More suited to KS2.

BBC Bitesize have released a series of online Spelling Punctuation and Grammar (SPaG or GPS) tasks to support your child's learning.

The Hamilton Trust created many home learning packs for children and parents for Maths, Writing and SPaG.  All age groups can be found on this link.

Talk4Writing is used in many schools.   Whilst its not a strategey we use in school, this link has some useful packs per year group for some extra help at home.
