Robin Class Teacher Assistant - Mrs Reed
Sparrow Class Teacher - Mrs Oxley
Sparrow Class Teaching Assistant - Mr Bishop
Additional Adults - Mrs Yeroshenko, Mr Williams, Mr Turner
Important Information:
PE Day - PE will take place on a Tuesday Morning. Please ensure that children arrive at school wearing the correct PE kit.
Water and Snacks - It is important that children have a bottle of water with them in school, this must just be water (no juice) and labeled with their name and class. Snacks are not provided in the junior school. You can give your child a healthy snack for break time which they can eat on the playground.
Homework: This will be sent home on a Friday and is due back the following Wednesday. Housepoints will be given for each piece of homework received.
Reading: It is really important that you listen to your child read everyday. We expect your child to read at least 3 times a week.
TTRS (Times Table Rockstars)
Pupils can enhance their multiplication tables knowledge through accessing TTRS. We recommend a minimum of 10 minutes everyday for children to complete their heatmaps of fluency and speed. These are vital to all our mathematical learning across the curriculum.
Pupils with rise up the rankings with their speed and there are in-house competitions set every week to earn house points, class and individual prizes. The best part is it's fun too!
Our first week in Year 3:
As part of our learning in our first week back, we completed some work around the book ' The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse' by Charlie Mackesy. We wrote our own recipes for a great friend/year/student/class inspired by the mole's love of cake. We also created our own version of the inside cover of the book, drawing pictures of the character on music paper. Below are some pictures of our class displays, showing some of our incredible work.
Home Learning Projects
As part of their home learning in Term One, some of the children created something linked to our learning on Volcanos. We had lots of incredible projects handed in, all in lots of different styles! Don't worry if you missed the project in Term One as there will be a new project each term, linked with our learning.
